COVID-19 Vaccination (VACCnotopen)

[This course will take you about 1h to complete.]

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the whole world. So much of our lives have changed because of this contagious virus and its rapid spread to people everywhere. Luckily, researchers and scientists have worked hard to quickly develop vaccines to protect us against the virus and help us return to our normal lives, or as close as is possible. Getting vaccinated is something you can do to protect your own health, but it also helps protect your loved ones and the wider community.

Some local authorities have now decided to prioritise foster carers and staff members of fostering agencies, and so you might now be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. However, you may be uncertain whether or not you should get vaccinated. There have been many questions and misinformation online about the vaccines that have caused some misunderstandings. This course is designed to give you clear information about how the COVID-19 vaccines work, possible side effects and answers to some common questions.

In this course, you will learn:
-About the immune system.
-What vaccination is and how it works.
-About vaccination for COVID-19.
-How the COVID-19 vaccines work and what they are made of.
-Potential side effects.
-Answers to common questions and concerns.
